12th South Asian Games: Gold rush continues for India, swimmers, wrestlers shine  

The count of India’s medal has now crossed the 200 mark as the shooters, tennis players and athletes. On the 7th day of the 12th South Asian Games that is shortly called as SAG which is being held here and also in Shillong.  At the end of the day that is on Thursday, the India’s overall count of this medal has stood at 238. This includes the 140 gold medals, 78 silver medal and also 20 bronze medals. Now, this is considered as the India’s highest gold medal count in the history of this SAG. The Indian Tennis players have won all the gold as well as silver medals. This is for the five events that are men’s and women’s singles, men’s and women’s doubles as well as mixed doubles. All the Indian Players only have featured all the five events.

India Held Again in Women’s Football

In the football, all the defending champions from the India were held yet to another goalless draw. This time it was at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in which is in the Shillong. It will face the Nepal in the summit clash that is on Feb. 15th.

The 45 years old gun shooter has become the strong challenge from his young teammates that is to take the gold in his event. It has the grand party for the family in the New Delhi as the Samaresh’s wife Anjuna has took the Bronze medal.

Surya, Ranjith has light up the track and field

Renjith Maheshwari has made the full usage of the national records holder that is Arpinder Singh’s. He has won the South Asian Gold Medal in the men’s triple jump that is with the record of 16.45 meters.

Chain upsets the Gagan

In the men’s 50 meters rifle prone, Army Shooter Chain Singh has received the gold ahead of the London Olympics Silver Medalist Gagan Narang. Chain has scored 204.6 points and also Gagan had scored the 203.7 points.
